Education and technology are continually growing in all kinds of schools, no matter whether it is elementary, middle, or high school. Yet, if I were to ask: what kind of technology has been integrated into the school system? A common response would be: computers, smart-boards, lap tops, white boards, Internet in all classrooms, not just the computer room. And if I were to ask: What technologies are band from schools? The answers would be: cell phones, I-pods, Podcasts, I-Phones, Personal Laptops.
The difference between what is allowed and what is forbidden is that school officials are afraid that students will stop learning if they are allowed to bring in different technologies in that interest them. The Truth: students still bring them in, they just hide them. These technologies can help expand their knowledge while having the students actively engage in lessons that they find interesting.
Technology is change and change needs to occur!
